Fine, unsmoked red-glazed clay pipe bowl. Unknown maker. Often referred to as a Taylor pipe. Bowl body represents a highly detailed head to represent an early Roman statesman with a laurel wreath about his head. ¾” diameter open bowl. Small stem holder opening is 3/8” diameter wide and wears a slight smooth collar. Bowl body measures 1½” high. No damage. Clean.
