Nice, boxed set which is marked on box top, “T. W. STARR & SON, TYPE FOUNDERS, PHILADELPHIA, PA”. Label on box top gives the directions on how to use the stamp. Stamp is made of steel and has a screw on the side with a shell design on the end. Stamp has a wooden handle. Included in this set is a clear piece of glass which was used as part of the stamping process. The glass is broken on one corner. Stamp has no markings.
This is a rare find to have a complete set in the original box. Would be a great display item on an antique desk.
