Photo is a three-quarter view of a distinguished looking Confederate officer in uniform. It was taken post-War. He was likely a member of a United Confederate Veterans Camp. This gentleman is wearing his light gray colored, double breasted frock coat which bears the insignia of Colonel. He is seated at a desk, which has an open book lying on it.
Photograph comes housed in a dark brown wooden frame. Bottom right corner of mount is dated in pencil, “MAY 08”. No markings on reverse. Photograph measures approx. 7 ¼” x 9 ¼”. Image is clear with good contrast. [sm]
