Image was taken by Appleton of Pulaski, Tennessee. Photo shows a man and woman seated in chairs in front of a large wall tent that looks very similar to those seen in Civil War camp photos. The tent looks to be set up next to a small lake that is barely visible in the background. Photo is clean with good contrast but does have two small spots where the finish has come off. One spot is on the tent and the other is just to its right. Image dates from approx. 1900. The photograph itself meas. approx. 8.25 x 6.00 and comes mounted on a 12.00 x 10.00 inch mount. Mount has some light surface dirt from age and storage. Reverse is blank.
