Lewis Taws Matlack was born in Philadelphia in 1842, and was still a resident there when he enlisted on 9/24/61 as a 1^st Lt. On that date he was commissioned into Co. C, 91^st Pennsylvania. He resigned on 1/19/63. Matlack died on 4/22/1909 and is buried in Mount Peace Cemetery in Philadelphia.
