Album is in excellent condition with dark brown padded leather covers. Front has a white metal shovel with wheat stalks which was the symbol for the Reich Labor Service. Lower right corner of cover has “MEINE DIENSTZEIT” or “MY SERVICE TIME.”
Album meas. approx. 12.50 x 9.00 inches and has 208 photos and photo postcards that follow the owner from his service in the Labor Force to service in the Army as an anti-tank gunner in Holland, France and Poland.
Pictures cover RAD Training, graduation, troop formations, labor duties, earthworks, barracks, railroad repairs, anti-tank gun, plane and tank photos and 1942 dated soldier’s grave photos. [ad]
