Album has ornate blue cloth covers with a star and wreath at top center followed by four lines of Japanese writing or “kanji” in gold ink. Lower right corner of the cover has a brown combat helmet supporting a gold samurai sword with pink flower decorations. Album opens reverse from an American album. Album meas. approx. 14.50 x 10.50 inches. Light wear to covers, especially in the corners.

The first page is a page full of kanji and may relate information about the owner. Translation is needed. Album contains 110 quality photographs, many with handwritten captions. Some of the photos show what looks to be the Imperial Palace. There are also many individual and group shots. Numerous weapons are pictured such as longarms, sword, cannon, knee mortar and machine guns. There are also images of parades, historical landmarks, training formations and a number of high ranking officers wearing their medals. One of the images is a post card photo of Tojo wearing all his decorations and there is also one of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto of Pearl Harbor fame.
