This collection of memorial cards, or death notices, comes housed in protective sheets mounted in a three ring binder. All together there are 26 four page notices and 10 single page cards. Two of the four page and one of the single page notices are for World War One soldiers. All the rest are World War Two.

Each card has a photograph of the soldier being memorialized as well as information as to what kind of unit he was in, rank, death date and where death occurred, either birth date or age, awards received and religious prayers or pictures. Most of the men pictured were killed in Russia while one was killed in Italy and one in North Africa.

It is true that the men pictured on these cards were once our enemies, but their cause is now defunct and relegated to the dustbin of history where it belongs. However, bear in mind they were no less human and, as evidenced by these cards, their families grieved for them. For those who have an adult understanding of history as well as human nature, they form a poignant collection.  [ad]
