Full standing image of a soldier wearing a light colored double-breasted overcoat with the cape thrown back over his shoulders. He also wears light trousers and a light campaign hat creased fore and aft at the crown. The front appears to have a two digit number and a company letter “A.”

The lady wears a dark full length coat with a fur collar and scarf. She also wears a very broad brimmed hat with white flowers.

Mount has light surface dirt while the photo itself is good. Mount stamped with an Elmira, New York photographer.

Reverse bears an inscription in period pencil of “LITTLE FRED POOLE, ANNA.”

Image appears to date to the early 20th Century. [ad]
