Overall very good condition. Minor scattered wear to edges of mount.
Cummings, born in Fitzwilliam, NH, was 19 years old when he enlisted on 5/22/61 as a Private. On 5/31/61 he mustered into Co. A, 2nd NH. Discharged for disability on 9/12/62 at Alexandria, VA. After the war he lived in Fitchburg, MA, where he died on 8/8/1916; he is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Fitchburg. [ld]
