The cowboy wears a dark colored slouch hat with light shirt and dark trousers. He has his lariat coiled up and hanging on his saddle with a Winchester rifle held diagonally in place under his right leg. Instead of a rifle boot the weapon is suspended by one strap on the forend and another closer to the receiver that is hidden under the cowboy’s right leg. The horse has a dark coat and mane with a white spot on his forehead and three of his four ankles.

Image is clear with great contrast. Mount has moderate to heavy surface dirt and a water stain at top.

There is no photographer’s mark.
