This Civil War period lithograph CDV depicts the devil whispering to John Wilkes Booth. Booth is shown standing just outside the Presidential box with a dagger in one hand and the pistol in the other while a partially visible devil whispers in his ear.
Reverse has publishing information for the company of Macoy & Herwig and a date of 1865. The caption on reverse reads “J. WILKES BOOTH-THE ASSASSIN.”
Card is in good condition with only light surface dirt.
