This CDV by E. & H.T. Anthony is a composite of multiple images of Union Generals connected with the Army of the Potomac. Altogether there 7 images on the card. At center is U. S. Grant with George Meade above him and Horatio G. Wright (6th Corps) below. The left edge of the card has John G. Park (9th Corps) and Gouverneur K. Warren (5th Corps) while the right edge has Winfield S. Hancock (2nd Corps) and Andrew A. Humphries (Meade’s Chief of Staff and 2nd Corps after Hancock.) At very bottom of the card is “ARMY OF POTOMAC.”
Photo surface shows light wear and moderate dirt. Contrast is good and lettering is readable. Reverse has photographer’s imprint as mentioned above.
