CDV is a full standing view of Colonel Albert S. Follansbee. He is wearing a dark colored double breasted frock coat with shoulder boards, sash, sword belt, and light colored trousers. He is holding onto his sword, which is hanging in the belt.

Reverse has the photographer’s imprint which reads, “WARREN POST OFFICE BLOCK, CAMBRIDGEPORT AND 100 MERRIMACK ST. LOWELL, MASS”. The reverse also has a handwritten inscription in pencil which reads, “COL. ALBERT S. FULLANSBEE, 6TH MASS INF”.

Image is clear and the contrast is good. Surface has some light dirt from age.

Albert S. Follansbee was born on April 7, 1824 in MA and enlisted on April 22, 1861 as a Captain in Co. “C”, 6th Mass Infantry. He was then promoted to a Colonel on August 15, 1862 and mustered out on October 27, 1864.  He died on March 31, 1891 in Chicago, IL and is buried in Mount Prospect Cemetery in Amesbury, MA.
