CDV is a chest-up view of Union General Ulysses S. Grant. He is wearing a dark colored double breasted frock coat with shoulder boards, white shirt and cravat.

Reverse does not have a photographer’s imprint.

Ulysses S. Grant was the 18th President of the United States. As Commanding General of the United States Army, Grant worked closely with President Abraham Lincoln to lead the Union Army to victory over the Confederacy in the American Civil War.

Image is clear and the contrast is good. Surface has some light dirt from age. Image has yellowed with time.  [sm]
