CDV is a chest-up view of a gentleman wearing a dark colored frock coat and vest, with a white shirt and cravat.

Reverse has a photographer’s imprint which reads, “F. GUTEKUNST 704 & 706 ARCH ST. PHILADELPHIA”. A green tax stamp is present. In pencil is written, “23^RD PA CO. B, A.G. BIGNELL, T.W.S”.

Image is clear and the contrast is good. Surface has some light dirt from age. Image has yellowed with age.

Attilla G. Bignall was a 21 year old resident of Philadelphia when he enlisted on 7/17/61 as a Private; on 8/2/61 he mustered into Co. B, 23^rd PA. Mustered out 9/8/64 at Philadelphia.   [sm/ld]
