Image shows a bearded Union officer leaning against an ornate high backed chair. He wears a dark frock coat with 1st Lieutenants shoulder straps and matching dark trousers. The frock coat appears to have a long skirt reaching down to the subjects knees.

Image is clean with excellent contrast.

Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for ADDIS GALLERY, P. B. MARVIN, PHOTOGRAPHER. Period pencil inscription at top reads simply “DR. LOGAN.” Reverse shows a crease running across the image approx. 1.00 inch from the bottom edge but this does not show on the front.  [ad]
