Image shows Albert M. Barney sated in front of a painted backdrop of a veranda. He is posed with one hand thrust into his dark double-breasted frock coat. He also wears light trousers with a matching thin leg stripe. The frock coat appears to have Lieutenant Colonel’s shoulder straps.

Image is clear with good contrast and light scattered surface dirt from age and storage.

Reverse has period ink inscription “A. M. BARNEY” with an A. S. RHODES…GOUVERNEUR, N. Y.
