Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for W. H. EMERY…POINT OF ROCKS, VA. Reverse also has a bold period ink inscription that reads “LORENZO FULLER (unreadable two words and ) MAY 21^ST 1865.”

The 18 year old Fuller enlisted on September 15, 1862 in his hometown of Hudson, New Hampshire.

The 13^th New Hampshire served in the 9^th, 18^th and 24^th Corps. It saw action in 32 battles and skirmishes including Fredericksburg, Swift Creek, Drewry’s Bluff, Cold Harbor and Petersburg.

Fuller was discharged on June 17, 1865.  [ad]
