Image is clear with good contrast and light surface dirt scattered throughout.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for W. H. EMERY…POINT OF ROCKS, VA. Reverse also has a bold period ink inscription that reads “LORENZO FULLER (unreadable two words and ) MAY 21ST 1865.”
The 18 year old Fuller enlisted on September 15, 1862 in his hometown of Hudson, New Hampshire.
The 13th New Hampshire served in the 9th, 18th and 24th Corps. It saw action in 32 battles and skirmishes including Fredericksburg, Swift Creek, Drewry’s Bluff, Cold Harbor and Petersburg.
Fuller was discharged on June 17, 1865. [ad]
