CDV is outdoor image of what looks like a Quartermaster’s tent. There is an “A” tent pitched below a tree. The tent is surrounded by boxes and barrels. Seated on a box in front of the tent is an officer reading a ledger while another man in a white coat stands by looking into another book. The impression is that the two men are squaring accounts. Off to one side in another officer holding an open ledger while on the opposite side of the group is an enlisted man holding a rifle at “PORT ARMS.” The interesting thing is that this guard is not wearing his uniform jacket which leads one to believe he is “standing guard” for the camera.
Reverse is blank.
The image is clear with good contrast. There is some light surface dirt on the paper and mount.
