Straight on bust view of a bearded older man in a dark civilian suit. Pinned to his lapel is a small button with a five-pointed star with the letters “UV” on either side of the top point. There looks to be another letter at bottom but it is hard to see. We believe it to be a Union Veterans League pin.
Image has some light surface dirt and light surface wear.
The reverse has a bold photographer’s mark for H. L. BIXBY of CHELSEA VT.
