Image shows a rather young man sporting a large “handlebar” mustache posed beside a column. He wears a dark frock coat with dark cloth covered buttons. He also wears dark trousers. The frock coat is open to reveal a matching dark military vest with military buttons.

Image is clear with great contrast and is very clean.

Reverse has photographers imprint for GEO. H. AUXER, HIGHTSTOWN, N. J. Reverse also has collector’s number in pencil.

Subject could be a Chaplain or perhaps a Government clerk.  [ad]
