Full standing view of a man in military uniform leaning on what appears to be a tuba which is almost as tall as he is. Subject is wearing a light colored uniform that consists of a double-breasted frock coat with two rows of 5 button, dark shoulder boards and a three-button cuff. There is a thin band of dark piping around the collar and each cuff. His trousers have a dark leg stripe and on his head he wears a light colored kepi. Around his waist is a leather belt with a rectangular plate. Back mark is Arnold & Dickinson, Springfield, Mass.
