The young subject of this image is posed leaning against a draped column. He wears a dark forage cap and a dark double piped shell jacket peculiar to the 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry with dark trousers. At his waist is his belt with cap box and holstered pistol attached. Also attached is his cavalry saber with scabbard and a small fighting knife is stuck in his belt. On one hand he wears a gauntlet and hold the other in the opposite hand.
Image has good clarity a contrast but the image does have moderate surface dirt and light wear to the mount edges.
Reverse is blank except for some collector information in pencil. [ad]
