Post-war CDV that looks to date from the late 1860’s to mid-1870’s. Image is a full standing view of an officer standing by a large rock. He wears a dark kepi with crossed cannon artillery insignia with a number “2” at top, a dark five button sack coat and light trousers with a wide dark leg stripe. At his waist is a belt with rectangular buckle and sword attached and on his left chest is a GAR membership badge
Image has good clarity and contrast. Paper and mount have light surface dirt. Reverse has photographer’s imprint for “PORTER…COVINGTON, KY. [ad]
