CDV is a three-quarter standing view of an officer wearing a dark frock coat with Captain’s shoulder straps and at his collar is a bow tie. The subject is posed with one hand resting on a draped column while the other hand holds his slouch hat on his hip. Enough of the hat can be seen to discern a felt oval on the front with a infantry insignia with a number “91” at center. On the side of the hat is also a 5th Corps badge. The hat cord is also present. Image has good contrast and clarity. Upper right corner of mount is slightly bumped.
Reverse has photographers imprint for “CREMER & DILLON’S… PHILADELPHIA". There is also a blue 2 cent tax stamp.
