CIVIL WAR ERA SIXTH-PLATE AMBROTYPE OF A MAN & HIS LITTLE DAUGHTER

$35.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 783-29

The subject of this image is a middle aged man holding his very young daughter on his lap. The man is dressed in the usual dark suit with white shirt and dark tie. His face is bearded and stern looking yet his eyes show something gentle. The little girl seated on the man’s lap looks to be about a year old. She wears a light dress that hangs a little off the shoulder. The design on the dress is dark geometric diamonds. Hanging off one shoulder is a tassel with two fuzz balls attached. She rests her left hand in her father's. It is indeed a touching image.

The image is crystal clear and clean with great contrast. The image comes housed in a split full cloth case with a full frame and mat. The mat is especially clean while the frame has some light surface dirt. The decoration on both parts of the case match.
