Image shows a lovely girl who is wearing a checkered dress with dark colored trim on the bodice and sleeves. She is wearing ear bobs and a heart shaped charm at the waist. Her jewelry was highlighted in gold by the photographer. Image is very clear with excellent contrast.

Image is housed in a full gutta-percha case which is in very good condition. Case is lined in embossed dark green velvet. Decorative brass mat surrounds image.

A note in period ink was folded inside of image. It reads, “Thou’ll never find a heart more true, Than mine, which plights its own to you. Over. Condemned to death with leave to choose the best, Would be to die with rapture on your loving breasts. Theresa. Over”.   [sl]
