Image is a close chest-up view of a young man wearing a dark jacket open to reveal a white shirt and large dark bowtie.
Image has good clarity and contrast and is housed in the usual decorative stamped brass frame and mat.
The Union case that holds the image is in very nice condition. It is decorated front and back with a raised patriotic shield superimposed over crossed US flags with a fascine at center supporting a Liberty cap. This is surrounded by a scalloped border festooned with laurel and flowers. Case is free of cracks and chips. [AD]
