Image shows a middle-aged woman in dark dress wearing a light bonnet with lace and flowers and long tie ribbons.

Image has good clarity but contrast is a little on the dark side.

Very nice stamped brass frame and mat with scroll decoration.

Union case is octagonal and is decorated with a raised scene of a young man and woman playing chess surrounded by a deep scrollwork decoration.

The case is in excellent condition free of chips and cracks. Brass hinges are excellent also. Interior has red crushed velvet pillow with a geometric design.  [ad]
