Waist up view of woman with cap. Woman is identified as Eve Roup Vance.  Image is clear with good contrast. Some light surface dirt on the image, with oxidation on edges of plate. Small dent on lower left side of face.

Image comes housed in decorative mat and frame in full cloth case. Housed in two separated, mismatched sections from different cases. Left side of case is lined with embossed red velvet.
