Early image, circa 1846, shows a waist up, seated view of a middle aged man. He is wearing a dark colored frock coat and vest with white shirt and dark colored cravat. Image is clear with good contrast. Light oxidation has occurred on mat and plate.

Image comes housed in a full leatherette case with decorative mat. Case has split and shows minor wear.  [sl]
