Three-quarter seated view of a young Union Infantry man holding a musket in front of him.
The subject wears a forage cap with a dark sack coat and matching trousers while around his waist is his belt with “US” plate and cap box. The buttons on the sack coat and the belt plate have a touch of gold gilt.
Image is clear but it is a little dark. The surface of the image is in good condition with some light surface rubbing around the edges. The image comes housed in a nice full case with brass mat and frame. The exterior of the case shows light wear.
