Image shows a Union soldier armed with multiple weapons ready for whatever comes his way. Subject wears a forage cap with upturned visor, a dark four-button sack coat with tinted buttons and matching dark trousers. His shirt sleeves extend down below the cuffs of his coat and he has turned them back over the top of the coat cuffs.
Around his waist is a belt with a tinted oval “US” plate. Attached to the belt is his bayonet and scabbard and cap box. Tucked into the belt is a large side knife still in its sheath and what looks to be a Colt Army revolver. By his side he holds a Springfield rifle musket.
Image is clear but could be a touch lighter. Image surface has numerous light scratches. There is no case, frame or mat.
