This is a three-quarter reclining view of a man lying on a patterned couch reading a book with a dog lying on top of him.  Man is wearing dark colored trousers with a white shirt, and light colored vest.

Image is clear with very good contrast. Some very slight oxidation has occurred.

Image comes housed in full pressed paper case, which is in very good condition. Case is lined in faded red silk. Decorative brass mat surrounds the image.

This tintype was part of a unique collection of images that featured animals.   [sm]
