SIXTH PLATE TINTYPE OUTDOOR IMAGE OF AN OPEN STAGE COACH

$235.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1013-02

Image shows an open stage coach drawn by two horses parked in front of a building that is probably the station house. The station has a decidedly western look to it while behind it is a two story dwelling. Three men are posed in the wagon with four rather disparate looking characters posed by the horse’s heads, on the raised wooden sidewalk and on the side of the stage. Standing at right is a man with a short pole in his hand. He holds the pole up and next to him is a little boy reaching up for his hat that looks to be dangling from a string attached to the pole in the man’s hand. With a magnifying glass you can spot a fellow peeking out from behind the back of the stage. All subjects in the photo wear civilian clothes.

Image has good contrast and clarity. It comes housed in a full leather case with brass frame and mat. Case is in very nice condition.  [ad]
