Tintype is of a black dog seated on a chair. The dog is of the small variety and is posed in a seated position with his tongue hanging out of his mouth almost as if he was smiling.
Tintype has good clarity but is a bit dark. Tin is attached to a CDV paper mount with a pressed frame on the front.
Bottom of the mount is marked in very small print “POTTER’S PATENT, MARCH 7, 1865.”
Reverse is blank. [AD]
