Image is a straight on view of a 4 or 5 year old little girl seated in a small chair. She has dark hair that is accentuated by two little gold gilt earrings. She also wears a light colored dress with dark horizontal stripes in four parallel rows at the bottom f her skirt. Her blouse has two parallel dark stripes on the sleeves.

In one hand she holds a small basket while in the other she is holding a ribbon or cockade.

Image is clear and although the contrast is good it could be a bit lighter. Image also has some dark spots of discoloration around the edges.

Brass mat is scalloped and decorated in the corners with geometric shapes. Frame has intermittent scrollwork.

There is no case.
