Image is a sixth-plate and shows a seated soldier from the waist up holding his rifle on his knee. The subject wears a kepi with the letters “CR” in gilt on the front, a light shell jacket with a nine button front, button-down cloth epaulettes and belt loops. On each cuff are dark rectangles with three buttons each. He also wears light trousers. Around his waist is a leather belt with a rectangular belt plate and a cap box. He is holding his Mississippi rifle on his knee with the patch box visible. All buttons, the belt plate, cap box finial, patch box and trigger guard are tinted with gilt. Contrast is a little dark. Image is clear and free of any scratches. Comes in full frame and mat. No case.
