This item is from a GAR Hall in Philadelphia. It is a bullseye canteen with a good bite of damage in the area of the spout. The way the metal is crumpled and torn makes it appear that it has been struck by a projectile. The rest of the body is not in bad shape, just rusted. All three sling keepers are present. The lower edge of one side has a triangular hole caused by a bayonet. There was some lettering done in white paint at the center of one side but most of the paint has worn off. All that is legible is “COLD HARBOR.”
