This is a very rare canister round meant for use in the Wiard rifle. The tin body is in excellent condition and is nicely and firmly crimped over the top plate. The bottom is still securely anchored to the original wooden sabot. The body may have some light surface dirt but otherwise this rare round is in near perfect condition.  There are no major dings or dents in the body and no chips to the wood sabot. The interior contains iron balls packed in sawdust.
