Brass throat off of a scabbard for some type of sword bayonet. The anchor tab is missing but the rest of the throat is complete. There is even a small piece of leather with it. Side seams are open near the top otherwise it is in good relic condition.

Old typed tag attached to the back reads “UNION ARMY OFFICER’S SABER SCABBARD TIP. LOST BY WRIGHT’S DIV. SPOTSYLVANIA, VA. BLOODY ANGLE MAY 12, 1864.”
