The face of this plate is heavily discolored but the details of the eagle are discernible. The right edge is tattered and the top edge is slightly bent.

The reverse has most of the lead fill but it is missing in the tattered area. Both iron hooks are present but are heavily rusted.

With the plate is a typed label that reads “CARTRIDGE BOX SLING PLATE WINTER CAMPSITE UNION ARMY STAFFORD COUNTY, VIRGINIA-9/75.”
