A bourreleted short-nose pattern Mullane shell fired from a 3 inch rifle. The copper disc with a flame groove cut into the edge not original to the projectile. The three pins remain, sans the large center bolt. No flame groove cut into the lower bourreleted ring. Used wood fuse adapter. Body of shell smooth. Recovered in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
