Fired from a rifled 32 pounder gun. Nice copper ring sabot, sans wood fuse. Considered the last design of Read projectiles to see service at the war’s end. Examples found at Fort Fisher, Mobile Bay, and James River sites. One side moderate pitting, with pock marks on other side.
