This is the wreath section only of a two piece CS plate that was recovered at Malvern Hill. The surface has green discoloration over a light patina which causes the details of the wreath to stand out. Half of the keeper has broken off but the wreath is complete. There is a minor dent at the 9 o’clock position of the wreath. This can be felt rather than seen.
Item comes housed in a riker box. Under the foam padding of the box is a hand drawn map showing where the plate was recovered.
