This section of wood meas. approx. 6.25 inches long x 2.25 inches wide. The wood section consists of two halves nicely held together by a rubber band. A close inspection will reveal some of the projectile is visible on one side and the wood shows stress in the area of impact. However, when the rubber band is removed both pieces of wood easily come apart to revel almost the entire Enfield projectile still firmly seated in the lower piece of wood. After viewing the bullet the two pieces of wood fit back together perfectly. The item can be displayed with the wood together or apart.
