This relic knife has an overall length of 7.50 inches. It has a rusted blade that meas. approx. 4.00 inches. Most of the blade edge is missing having been chipped off while buried in the ground.
The elliptical counterguard is still present and appears to be made of brass.
The bone grip is complete on one side while the other is missing the lower third.
This knife comes nicely mounted and ready for display on a strip of wood covered in red felt. This piece was once on display in the now defunct Confederate Arsenal Museum in Gettysburg.
Item was recovered at Antietam.
