Shell has light surface pitting on the nose, with slightly heavier pitting on the base. Six ribs are clearly visible along the base. The brass Schenkl percussion fuse plug was damaged upon impact, but some lettering is still legible, including the day and year of the patent date: “ – 16. 1861”. A deactivation hole is on the side.
