The face of this plate has a dark reddish brown patina with a lighter brown discoloration around the edges. The face and edge are fairly free of scratches and there are no dents.

The lead on the reverse has some light areas of discoloration but 100% of the lead fill is present as are both of the iron loops for attaching to the cartridge box. Lead is maker marked “BOYD & SONS BOSTON” in a closed arc shape. Mark is light but readable.

With the plate is a plastic bag with recovery information typed on the front. This information reads “CTG. BOX PLATE MARKED BOYD CEDAR MOUNTAIN OCTOBER 1957 NEAR CENTER EDGE OF WHEATFIELD.” There is also the old dealer price with inventory number.
